I'm not a baker. I'm not even a big sweets kind of person, BUT.... I love strawberry shortcake. It's like summer in a bowl. When I was at the grocery store I zipped past a display of strawberries that grabbed hold of my olfactorys and yanked me back over saying, "buy us, buy us." I made a small batch of 4 shortcakes using 1 c flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp butter, 1/4 c. milk, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, cooked for 12 min. at 425. Serve with strawberries and a little scoop of vanilla. c.
